Team Novo Nordisk physician Mark Greve has been involved with the program for 10 years and served as the medical director for Team Type 1, Team Novo Nordisk’s predecessor.
Greve had a global childhood, spending time in Germany, England and New York City. He graduated in molecular biology from the University of Colorado, Boulder before attending Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He completed his medical residency at Yale University where he was the Chief Resident his final year. Currently, he serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor in Emergency Medicine at the Warren Alpert School of Medicine at Brown University and is an attending physician at Rhode Island Hospital and Center for Sports Medicine.
Greve is a member of the Fellow of American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP), Chair of Medicine of Cycling, American Medical Society for Sports Medicine and Society of Academic Emergency Medicine.
A born adventurer, Greve served as an Alpine Ski Patroller in Breckenridge, Colorado for nearly seven years. His hobbies include biking, sea kayaking, rock climbing, mountaineering and all forms of skiing. He lives in Providence, Rhode Island with his wife, two kids and one dog.
