2018 marks Team Novo Nordisk’s most successful season yet! This year the world’s first all-diabetes pro cycling team fought harder than ever for the podium, and emerged with more results and jerseys than any other year in our 6-year history!

10) Tour de Rwanda, stage 7

Victory for David Lozano in Africa! The Spanish rider was active every day on the hilly roads of Rwanda, and after a couple of days on the podium he found the right combination of speed, teamwork and tactics to cross the finish line first! It was giant day for Team Novo Nordisk in Kigali, a giant day for Lozano’s seven years as a pro cyclist and a giant day for Changing Diabetes!


9) Dubai Tour, stage 5

The 2018 season started off with a bang for Team Novo Nordisk, as the world’s first all-diabetes pro cycling team raced at the front of the peloton every day of the Dubai Tour. With strong teamwork, Quentin Valonges managed to capture the Overall Sprint Jersey and carry a message of inspiration, education and empowerment from the top of the final podium.


8) PostNord Danmark Rundt, stage 3

Team Novo Nordisk is fortunate to meet the world’s greatest fans at bike races all across the globe. This year at PostNord Danmark Rundt we rode for our honorary teammate, Thea Guldager. The Danish youngster came to visit us at the start in of stage of 3 Naestved and helped to motivate Charles Planet into a brilliant breakaway on the road to Vordingborg, where he took the Fighter’s Jersey for his powerful exploits.


7) Tour of Taihu Lake, stage 1

Sam Brand in China filled the airwaves with his story of inspiration, education and empowerment, as the ex-triathlete from the Isle of Man slipped into the breakaway on a hot, sweaty day around Lake Taihu.


6) Vuelta Aragon, stage 2

David Lozano wasn’t supposed to go in the breakaway on this day at the Vuelta Aragon, but the Spanish rider found himself at the front of the bike race on stage 2 as the peloton chased him down a valley and into the riverside city of Zaragoza. It wasn’t a problem for the Barcelona native, as Team Novo Nordisk was able to share our message in the lovely countryside of Spain.


5) Milano-Sanremo

Milan-San Remo is the world’s longest one-day bike race and the most anticipated day in March for the pro cycling world. From foggy, cold Milano to the sunshine coast of San Remo, the race is nearly 300km start to finish. Charles Planet set out in the rain one early Spring Saturday morning and rode at the front of the breakaway for a global television audience, Changing Diabetes with every stroke of the pedals.


4) Tour of China I, stage 1

In China our message of Changing Diabetes managed to reach a new audience every day. Team Novo Nordisk took to the podium presentation before stage 3 in Bazhong to share our powerful story of inspiration, education and empowerment in the world’s most populous country.


3) Tour of Croatia, stage 6

We race to show what people with diabetes can do, and in Zagreb on the final day at the Tour of Croatia, we met with families who are touched by our message of inspiration, education and empowerment – climbing the cobblestone streets and hearing their cheers of support gives us the motivation to compete against the best in the world.


2) Tour de Hongrie, Prologue

Charles Planet powered to the 2nd fastest time on a short and fast prologue along Lake Balaton, taking the Green Jersey and a podium spot in front of a crowd of cycling fans and people with diabetes who came to cheer on Team Novo Nordisk at the Tour de Hongrie.

There’s no better way to finish a top season than on the streets and hills of Utsonomiya! TNN came to Japan in October and put Sam Brand in a marquee breakaway to show the Changing Diabetes jersey off the front!
