TNN ready to return to racing at Kreiz Breizh Elites
31 July 2025
Team Novo Nordisk set to get the second half of the season underway in France at the three day Kreiz Breizh Elites.
Set in Bretagne, one of the heartlands of cycling, Kreiz Breizh will provide the worlds first all diabetes professional cycling team with the test it needs before heating into the big goals at the Tour of Denmark later in the month.
After a few weeks off from competition the team has been busy with both a high altitude training camp in Livigno and the annual Talent ID camp in southern Tuscany, but now it’s time to get back to racing.
“It’s been a busy few weeks between races for us,” said General Manager Vassili Davidenko. “With two training camps running simultaneously in Italy we have had our hands full and now the focus shifts firmly back to racing and our next objectives.”
“Kreih Breizh Elites is a perfect opportunity for us to test our form ahead of the Tour of Denmark and for our riders who’ve come down from altitude to reacclimatize and ease their legs back into racing. Racing in Bretagne is always exciting and challenging and this weekend will be no different, we’re looking forward to it.”
Punchy Czech sprinter Matyas Kopecky will lead the team alongside experienced captain Andrea Peron and rouleur Filippo Ridolfo.
“Altitude camp was really good and we put in some good hours,” said Kopecky. “Now Summer break is over and I feel the legs are good, considering I didn’t feel great directly after coming down from the mountains – but the feeling has been better every day. Traininghas been going really well and it will be good to test the legs in France.”
“I think it will be important to get the heart rate high before we go to Denmark and we will definitely use Kreiz Breizh as a preparation for our next big objectives. It’s great racing at events we’ve never done before, so I’m looking forward to the challenge and new experience in France this weekend.”
Italian climber Antonio Polga completes the line up with neo pros Celestin Wattelle and Bailey McDonald.
