Solid Start for Team Novo Nordisk at Czech Tour

14 August 2025

The Czech Tour started today with a 163 km stage from Prague to Karlovy Vary, featuring rolling terrain and over 2,000 meters of climbing. The route included several categorized climbs and a tricky run-in to the finish.

An early breakaway went clear shortly after the start and stayed away for most of the day. Our riders remained in the bunch, focusing on conserving energy and staying safe on the technical roads.

With a mixed roster of pro and development riders, this race is a valuable opportunity for the younger athletes to learn at the higher level.

Today was nice, good to get it out of the way being the first race in a while,” said Hamish Beadle. “I’m a bit frustrated with the finish due to some technical issues. It was disappointing as I was positioned well after coming back from a crash with 5 km to go, but at the same time it’s nice to see the legs are responding well and I’m feeling good.”

With three more days ahead, the team will look to grow stronger, and prepare for what’s next in the Czech countryside.
