Team Novo Nordisk Eyes Strong Result at Tour of Estonia
01 June 2026
Team Novo Nordisk heads to Estonia with ambition and purpose, targeting a strong result across the race’s three-day programme, which includes a prologue and two stages finishing in Tallinn and Tartu. General manager Vassili Davidenko is optimistic ahead of the trip, with Filippo Ridolfo set to lead the charge for the squad.
“Over the years we’ve enjoyed some positive results at the Tour of Estonia and we always enjoy racing there,” said Vassili Davidenko. “This year’s edition will be no different, arguably even more so with three days of racing and the additional excitement of a prologue to contend with.”
The Tour of Estonia’s format plays to the team’s strengths. The prologue offers a rare chance for all-out individual effort, a pure test of pace and positioning before the road stages unfold. With the race’s finale staged in two of Estonia’s most vibrant cities, the team knows that organisation and collective discipline will be just as important as raw speed in the closing kilometres.
“The stages suit our characteristics and this is a wonderful opportunity for us to go for a result with Filippo,” Davidenko added. “Collectively the guys need to work together and be organized, especially going into the finals in Tallinn and Tartu.”
For Team Novo Nordisk, the race represents more than a sporting opportunity. Every stage is a chance to carry the team’s message to a new audience across the Baltic region: that diabetes is no barrier to competing at the highest level.
Davidenko expressed confidence in the squad’s ability to deliver when it matters most. “The team we are sending has the speed to work together at the pointy end of the race and I’m optimistic about our chances in Estonia – one day of all out individual effort and two stages to show teamwork and achieve our goal.”
