Team Novo Nordisk Set for Fourth Edition of Tour of Istanbul

01 September 2026

Team Novo Nordisk returns to the Tour of Istanbul this week, lining up for the race’s fourth edition as it continues to establish itself on the UCI Europe Tour calendar. The four-day race gets underway Thursday in Silivri and concludes Sunday with an individual time trial in Beykoz.

“The Tour of Istanbul is a young, but rapidly growing race that we’re excited to be taking part in once again this week,” began General Manager Vassili Davidenko. “It’s in its fourth year now and each year the competition gets stronger and it’s a wonderful opportunity for us to test our young development riders in a high level racing environment.”

As in 2025, the team travels to Turkey with a blended roster of experienced professionals and development riders, a balance Davidenko believes gives the squad both direction and opportunity.

“Like last year we are going into Tour of Istanbul with a mixed team of pro and development riders, the balance is good particularly with the experience of Sam and Lucas Dauge. But what we really want to see over these four days of racing is our young riders stepping up and taking the opportunity – they need to show that they belong and this is one of the last chances of the season for them to do that.”
