Relentless Climbs and a Chaotic Finale Define Stage 4 in Türkiye
29 April 2026
Stage 4 of the Presidential Cycling Tour of Türkiye delivered a demanding day in the mountains, with repeated climbs shaping the race and testing the peloton’s endurance ahead of a chaotic finale. Team Novo Nordisk showed resilience throughout the stage, with Filippo Ridolfo leading the team home in 26th place after a hard-fought performance.
The stage was defined by its relentless climbing profile, which gradually reduced the peloton as the pace intensified over the key ascents. The team remained attentive and well-positioned through the early phases, managing energy and staying clear of trouble.
As the race entered its final phase, the pace lifted significantly with the 7-rider breakaway brought back. Ridolfo was able to hold position well against a strong field, staying in contention as the front group began to take shape.
Filippo Ridolfo said:
“It was a very demanding stage, especially on the final climbs where the pace was extremely high. I felt reasonably well and was able to stay in position during the key moments, but the finale was quite chaotic. At one point I had good positioning, but it was still too early, and in the final kilometers I lost several places. Overall, it was a tough day, but there are still positives to take moving forward.”
Attention now turns to Stage 5, which will take the riders from Patara to Kemer over 180.7 kilometers.
