Team Novo Nordisk and World Diabetes Foundation Launch Lottery to Support Children with Type 1 Diabetes in Georgia

09 May 2025

ATLANTA, GA – May 9, 2025 – Team Novo Nordisk, the world’s first all-diabetes professional cycling team, has partnered with the World Diabetes Foundation (WDF)to launch a special lottery aimed at supporting children living with type 1 diabetes in Georgia.

The grand prize of the lottery is a 2024 Argon 18 Sum Pro Team Edition bike, the same one ridden by Team Novo Nordisk athletes during the 2024 UCI season. This high-performance bike, renowned for its aerodynamic design and comfort, symbolizes the team’s commitment to excellence and resilience.

All proceeds from the raffle will directly fund diabetes camps in Georgia, designed to provide children and their caregivers with essential education on diabetes management, psychosocial support, and the opportunity to connect with others facing similar challenges.

“At Team Novo Nordisk, we believe that diabetes should not be a barrier to achieving one’s dreams,” said Phil Southerland, CEO and co-founder of Team Novo Nordisk. “This initiative allows us to extend our mission beyond the racecourse, directly impacting the lives of children living with type 1 diabetes and their families in Georgia.”

The lottery will run from May 5 to June 6, 2025, and is open to participants aged 18 and older. For more information about the raffle and how to participate, please visit  https://lottery.worlddiabetesfoundation.org/tnn-lottery
