Trofeo Piva

Sergey Lagutin, Development Team Head Coach:

“We knew this it would have been a challenging race for our riders.

The plan was to start the climb in the front and focus on sticking with the peloton for as long as possible.

Filippo did a great job, positioning himself well for the first 80km. He managed to follow an attack and made the breakaway of the day with seven other riders, building a lead of up to 3.10 minutes.

The peloton caught up with them 17km to the finish line but Filippo stayed with the leading group and sprinted for a top 10 finish.

It was a challenging race, but we are proud of our riders’ efforts and their determination to push their limits.”
