Seregy Lagutin (Development Team, Head Coach)

Today was very high level race with the best U23 riders from the world. The tactic was to finish the race with most of the riders, get experience and use it to race against these teams. We made Robbe and Filippo team leaders and all other riders support them during the race.

Filippo Ridolfo

The first 70km flat was quiet without any problems. When the climbs started we were in the front and from there it was like an elimination race. I tried to follow the main breakaway but they had a different pace and I broke away. In the last laps I tried to defend myself uphill, especially in the hard part where I struggled more and then recovered in the less steep part. On the penultimate lap another small group came out of the main group and I couldn’t get onto it. In the end, I finished in the third small group.

Daniel Holt (Development Team, General Manager)

We had our second team at this race, since most of our riders are U23 and racing in Italy. The strategy was to be patient and wait until the final 80km to start following attacks. Then try to get together for a leadout for Nigel or Przemek. The main goal was for everyone to finish this race.

Jan Dunnewind

After a long break from racing, it was very hard for us to respond to so many accelerations. We will be better with time and more racing.
