Good performance of Lozano in a tough race at the Circuito Getxo

Head Sports Director Massimo Podenzana:

“Today was a hard race for us, very fast from the beginning.

“David arrived here recovering from a few days of sickness, but he was racing at home and he gave it all. He rode very well, pushing and showing what’s possible with diabetes until the end.”

David Lozano:

“That was a tough one! I tried several times to get into the breakaway because i knew my chances at the end were going to be hard due to a few hard past days. I didn’t manage to make it into the break and I focused to give my best.I had cramps in the last kilometers but I managed to keep going and stay with a big group until the finish.

“It was hard but definitely a really good training for Denmark. Plus it’s always a really nice feeling to race in Spain close to my people!”
