McQuerry’s determination at Stage 3 through downpour in Turkey

In another beautiful Turkish city, Beykoz, the third stage of the Tour of Istanbul continued to be troubled by harsh weather conditions. Team Novo Nordisk Development team faced yet another challenging 132 km route with more than 2000 meters of climbing.

Sergey Lagutin, Development Team Head Coach:

“Today was a steady stage, with the breakaway gone after just 15 km. The peloton rolled along at an easy tempo until the last climb, where Justin (McQuerry) put in a strong performance, always staying in a good position. With 20 km to go, he dropped with a group of 15-20 riders.”

“It was a good day for him, showing that he is well-positioned for tomorrow’s last stage.”
