Team Type 1 Global Ambassador Scholarship Program

Team Type 1’s cornerstone initiative, the Global Ambassador Scholarship program, is having its best year yet! The program awards college scholarships up to $10,000 to student-athletes with type 1 diabetes. Applicants are required to play a school sanctioned NCAA or NAIA sport, maintain a 3.0 GPA, and be willing to serve as the go-to person in their local community for diabetes inspiration and empowerment.
Providing Global Ambassadors with diabetes and sports education and community leadership training is only half of the story. Team Type 1 offers these awards to also offset the cost of diabetes care. We want our athletes to focus on what’s important…their studies and their sport. Not worrying about the cost of diabetes supplies.
