PROFILE
New to the Team Novo Nordisk Development team for 2026 is 19 year old Frenchman Lucas Lusinchi. Born in Marseille in 2006 Lusinchi is an aspiring sprinter with a background in triathlon before deciding to focus full time on the bike after discovering TNN.
Diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at 12 years old after experiencing weight loss, weakness, dehydration and a loss of appetite. Lusinchi took the news of his diagnosis maturely due to the familiarity of his grandfather already living with diabetes and reassured himself that he would be ok.
Coming from an active family Lusinchi enjoyed cycling with his father and uncle and combined other sports with the bike before starting to race at junior level in 2019. After meeting TNN pro rider Lucas Dauge, Lusinchi made it his goal to join the team and attended Talent ID camp three times before being selected for the devo team for 2026.
Lusinchi resides close to Marseille in Allauch and recently attained his undergraduate qualification in energy efficiency maintenance, he likes to spend time with his family and girlfriend and would like to open a bike shop one day.
