Team Novo Nordisk Ready to Close Out Asian Campaign at Tour of Taihu Lake

Team Novo Nordisk returns to China this week for the Tour of Taihu Lake, the team’s final race block of the 2025 season. Spanning four sprint-friendly stages, the race offers another chance to chase results after a strong run of performances across Asia.

The race begins on Thursday, October 9, with a 96.5-kilometer opener in Nanjing, before continuing through Suzhou Wujiang, Nantong–Qidong, and concluding with the longest stage, 137.5 kilometers around Wuxi, on Sunday, October 12.

General Manager Vassili Davidenko emphasized that the team’s ambitions remain high to close the season on a strong note: “The Tour of Taihu Lake presents a great opportunity for us to go for a result and we’re sending a strong team with that goal in mind,” said Davidenko. “We know the race well by now and the competition will be strong as always, but every stage should be a chance in the sprints and I expect Andrea and Matyas to be competitive.”

“Filippo and David are on hand to provide strong support and experience and at this late stage of the season we need to go all out to achieve our goal. We’ve had good results in Asia so far this year and we’re hungry for more. The boys will need to acclimate over these first couple of days before the racing starts on Thursday and then go for it.”

With proven sprint firepower in Peron and Kopecky, and a solid support core around them, the world’s all-diabetes professional cycling team is targeting a positive conclusion to a milestone year that included standout results across Europe and Asia.
