Team Novo Nordisk set for eight days of racing at the Presidential Cycling Tour of Türkiye
22 April 2026
Team Novo Nordisk heads to the Presidential Cycling Tour of Türkiye for eight days of high-intensity racing, taking on one of the most dynamic and well-supported races on the calendar. Known for its mix of fast sprint stages, punchy climbs and unpredictable racing, the event offers multiple opportunities for the team to be in the mix across the week.
The team returns to Türkiye with confidence after picking up a number of top ten finishes at last year’s edition and will be looking to build on that momentum in 2026. With a balanced roster combining experience and depth, the squad is well-positioned to take on the demands of the varied parcours.
“The season is in full flow now and the races are coming thick and fast,” said General Manager Vassili Davidenko. “We’re already at the Tour of Turkey – which is one of our favorite races on the calendar. We always receive a great reception there, it’s an event filled with aggressive racing, strong competition and a challenging parcours, I don’t expect this year’s race to be any different.”
Italian veteran Andrea Peron will lead an experienced line-up, bringing road captain expertise and stability across the eight stages, while the rest of the squad provides a strong mix of sprint support and all-round capabilities.
“We have almost our strongest team lining up in Çeşme on Sunday and the guys are ready to go,” Davidenko added. “The first day will be a good opportunity for us and likely to end in a sprint before we move into the hillier terrain and we need to arrive with the desire to start well. There won’t be any gifts over the next eight days of racing and in the flatter finals I want to see the guys in the mix and competing.”
As the race progresses from fast coastal roads into more selective terrain, Team Novo Nordisk will aim to stay aggressive, race cohesively and convert opportunities when they arise.
