PROFILE
New to the Team Novo Nordisk Development team for 2026 is punchy Polish all rounder Aleksander Zubek.
Developing an interest in cycling after participating in a group cycling trip with school Zubek fell in love with the bike. Always competitive, he also enjoyed the freedom and sensations that cycling gave him.
At the age of ten Zubek fell ill with weakness, drowsiness, nausea and needing to go to the bathroom every time he hydrated. It took some time, but after a spell in hospital and tests Zubek was finally diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes.
His family was scared and in shock, but stuck together and quickly educated themselves and learned from the experience to help Zubek manage his diabetes.
After an online search about sports teams with diabetes, Zubek discovered Team Novo Nordisk and found a new goal. Attending the TNN Talent ID camp in July last year, the 21 year old made the cut for the devo team.
Off the bike Zubek enjoys spending time in the mountains, motor sports and discovering new places around the world.
