Ridolfo Goes Close Again on Final Stage in Tartu

06 June 2026

Team Novo Nordisk closed out the Tour of Estonia with another competitive performance on the Tartu GP, the race’s final stage. Filippo Ridolfo once again found himself in the mix at the sharp end, finishing 12th after a sprint that didn’t quite come together despite strong support from his teammates throughout the day.

Donovan Mackie, Bailey McDonald and Sam Brand were outstanding in their roles, repeatedly delivering Ridolfo to the front of the peloton ahead of the circuit’s key cobbled climb – the most decisive section of the course lap. The Italian tried to inject some dynamism into the race with a couple of attacks on the climb, but a conservative peloton determined to arrive together kept things together until the final sprint.

“The circuit is really nice and suits me well, but I was expecting a bit more action.” said Ridolfo. “I tried to attack a couple of times on the cobbled climb but a lot of teams wanted to arrive at the sprint, so nothing really got going. Donovan and Bailey did a really good job bringing me to the front before the climbs every lap, as that was the most important part of the circuit. I was hoping for another top 10 but the sprint didn’t go as planned.”

With a solid weekend of racing under their belt and some good results, the team now heads to Belgium for the next race: Circuit Franco Belge.
